Listening to your Magic Cloud
Here’s a great neck stretch. I have a hard time getting a good neck stretch. I usually pull the top of my head over to one side for an entire two seconds and feel a teensy bit better. But not more flexible really.
Don’t pull. Lift.
I’ve come up with a cool trick. Who are we tricking, you may ask? I’m not too sure. Bear with me.
It goes like this.
Try this specific breathing cycle, 3 times on each side:
Breathe in - lift your ear up higher
Breathe out - allow your shoulders to hang a little lower
Oh yeah, so here’s the trick. Rather than focusing on the muscles you want to stretch, you are intending to extend one side of your neck while breathing. The net effect is an effective neck stretch without trying to stretch.
I think it feels great.
Bonus Relaxation Tip!
The holidays are very often a stressful time. Political “discussions” at the dinner table, uncles changing into aunts, vegans smelling turkey. It can get a little crazy.
Sometimes we need a little help. Getting some excellent bodywork is a great way to alleviate that stress. And I’m just the guy for the job. I have Sunday afternoon appointments available, and a few weekday evenings as well. (See what folks are saying.)
Sometimes, a good tactic is to gift a visiting relative with a massage. You get a little time to yourself, and I get that out-of-town guest to chill out. And you get to look like the hero!
And, from now until January, gifting is golden. When you give someone a gift certificate for a massage, you get 25% off the regular price.
Of course the 50%-off-your-next-session discount is still available. Just refer someone to me, and your next session is half off.
